Mixing the energy of youth with the culture of tradition, Brìgh debuted in 2015 as a summer series of shows at Strathspey Performing Arts Centre in Mabou. The original cast included 24 young people celebrating the essence of Gaelic in Cape Breton. Featuring fiddle tunes, step dancing, a square set and Scotch Fours, Gaelic songs and Gaelic stories performed in skits, this showcase of music, dance, storytelling and humour returned to the stage for the summer of 2016. And once again the young cast, aged 6-18, wowed audiences of all ages, with their Scottish-influenced talents. We are very excited to welcome these future culture bearers to Celtic Colours this October.
