John John Festival
Playing more than 150 shows a year, John John Festival is fast becoming the most popular Irish/Celtic band in Japan. The fiddle-guitar-bodhran trio started performing in 2010 and have released four albums since then, as well as playing on other albums and at many festivals. In 2014, bodhran-player Toshi Bodhran visited Celtic Colours and was a big hit at the Festival Club. Now he returns with his band, including Mana Okubo (fiddle) and Hirofumi Nakamura (guitar). Together they play with such rhythm, emotion and genuine groove, that audiences can't help but share in their exuberance and joy for this music. The group expects to have a new CD out this year.
