Cathy Ann MacPhee & Patsy Seddon
Cathy Ann and Patsy have been friends and musical collaborators since meeting at the first Fèis on the island of Barra in 1981. They have both pursued very varied careers since then. Cathy Ann has sung at many places from small village halls on her native island of Barra to major concert halls and is an inspiration to the ever growing tide of fans of Gaelic music. She has also acted in numerous theatre shows in Gaelic and English and has often appeared on TV. Patsy is a clàrsach player and singer and is best known for her work with the harp duo Sileas, the band The Poozies, the supergroup Clan Alba and many appearances with other performers. She is also an active teacher and with her role as Artistic Adviser for the Edinburgh International Harp Festival has helped nurture the next generation of Scottish harp players. Cathy Ann and Patsy can both be heard on numerous CD and radio recordings. They come together periodically to share their love of Gaelic music and song and are delighted to be sharing their music at Celtic Colours.
