Mooney Francis

Andrew Mooney Francis is a Mi’kmaq fiddler from Cape Breton who started playing back in the 1970s with a little help from Winnie Chafe, Ralph Stevens, Wilfred Prosper and the late great Lee Cremo. Mooney has performed all over Nova Scotia and his 2003 recording, The Lumber Jack Reel, was nominated for an East Coast Music Award in the Aboriginal Recording category in 2004.
