Orianna MacNeil

Cape Breton

Orianna MacNeil comes from a family of five musical sisters. She is the middle child of Tracey and Paul MacNeil. Some might say it’s that “middle child” stigma that can be attributed to her incredible musical and athletic abilities. Either way, this girl has got it all going on. Orianna lives in Mabou Harbour, she plays guitar, pipes, fiddle and piano, and is fostering a reputation as a very special singer-songwriter. Orianna has been brought up in a musical family, a family who is very dedicated to their Gaelic cultural roots. That influence is evident in her ability to sing in both Gaelic and English, but also in the precise rhythmic ability she demonstrates in her music. Her voice is unique with a sound that emulates some of the finest folk singers in the world.
