Robert Thomas and the sessionmen

Robert Thomas has been a published songwriter for 45 years. His songs can be found in the repertoires of everyone from Kenny Rogers and Joe Cocker to Bonnie Raitt and the Dixie Chicks. After four decades behind the scenes, Robert is finally taking a long overdue turn in the spotlight as a touring performer with his locked-in-the-pocket band, the sessionmen—Ray Legere (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, backing vocals), Jon Arseneault (guitar, backing vocals), and Maxime Forbes (keyboards, backing vocals). Collectively, the sessionmen are a musical force in their own right having played with the likes of Alison Krauss, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Rita MacNeil, the Rankins, Natalie MacMaster, Michelle Shocked, and The Chieftains. Robert Thomas and the sessionmen masterfully weave all original Roots-Americana songs into a highly-entertaining musical biography of Robert’s long career as a songwriter with Capital/EMI/Sony.
