Tessa Boucher was born and raised in Broad Cove, Inverness County. She started dance classes with Rodney MacDonald at the age of five. Growing up surrounded by Celtic culture made it easy for her to continue dancing and she attended The Gaelic College summer session for six years, studying under various Cape Breton dance instructors. She followed her two older sisters’ footsteps, and grew up dancing at various locations and events across Cape Breton. The journey began young and never stopped. Tessa is an accomplished yoga instructor, having studied, travelled and taught all over the world. She now lives in Copenhagen with her husband, and still tries to make it home each summer to immerse herself in the homeland and reconnect with her roots. She is delighted to be dancing alongside her sisters this year at Celtic Colours.
