Let’s go up home tonight…” If you lived in the Maritimes in the 1980s, and you had a television, you’re sure to recognize the opening lines of the theme song for the program “Up Home Tonight”. Airing Sunday evenings on ATV from 1982 to 1989, the very popular and influential show put the spotlight on traditional musicians from Maritime provinces, including practically everyone on stage tonight. Musical Director and Host Gordon Stobbe will once again welcome an impressive lineup of guests as we open the 2024 Celtic Colours International Festival with this very special concert.
