Due to unforeseen circumstances the interpreter for this event is no longer available. Indigenous interpreter and Mi’kmaq Elder, Mary Louise Bernard, discusses the history and beliefs of the Mi’kmaq nation, describes some of the common medicinal plants used in smudge ceremonies, and explains their use.
