This annual lecture commemorates the Cape Breton Gaelic tradition of Gaelic storytelling as exemplified by the late Joe Neil MacNeil of Middle Cape and author of Sgeul Gu Latha – Tales Until Dawn. This year's lecture is ''Tighinn o'n Cridhe'' - 'coming from the centre': an ethnography of sensory metaphor on Scottish Gaelic communal aesthetics. Dr. Tiber Falzett will explore ways of talking about music in Gaelic. Dr. Falzetts, research relied upon the generosity of Anna MacKinnon, Theresa Burke, Peter Jack MacLean, Joe Peter MacLean in sharing their knowledge.
