Stately St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, officially opened in 1898, is located in the beautiful village of Mabou. Nestled between tree-covered hills and the sparkling waters of the Mabou River, this white, wooden Gothic structure is a dominant feature of the village. Featuring an octagonal steeple which rises 143 feet above ground, 16 stained glass windows, pillars decorated with tartans and a unique mosaic inspired by Vatican II, St. Mary’s Church provides an appealing and peaceful place to visit.
