Emily Dingwall

Emily Dingwall (Em Dingwall) is a versatile Cape Breton-based musician known for her smooth harmonies, soulful bass lines, and remarkable ability to blend seamlessly into any musical setting. Her talent and adaptability have made her a sought-after collaborator, performing alongside many of the East Coast’s most celebrated artists including Matt Minglewood, Gordie Sampson, Jimmy Rankin, J.P. Cormier, Heather Rankin, Lucy MacNeil, Matt Andersen, and Cape Breton’s own The Men of the Deeps. In 2014, Em joined the legendary Matt Minglewood Band, contributing to the Fly Like Desperados album, which went on to win the 2018 ECMA for Blues Recording of the Year. More recently, ECMA award-winning songwriter Jordan Musycsyn has been performing and recording with Em, both as a duo and with his full band. The pair will be performing as a duo at this year’s festival. Em Dingwall continues to be a dynamic and respected presence in the music industry—known for her deep dedication to her craft and her ability to elevate every project she takes on.
