Ingrid Henderson

Lochaber-based musician Ingrid Henderson is a highly accomplished harper, pianist, and presenter with over 30 years of experience in traditional music. Described as a “musician of quite outstanding calibre, a virtuoso in terms of sensibility”, she has collaborated with groups like Cliar and the Glenfinnan Ceilidh Band, and performed in duos with singer Margaret Stewart, Anne Martin and her husband, fiddler Iain MacFarlane. She is principal harp tutor at the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music & has enjoyed the role of Musical Director for many BBC ALBA shows including the live, flagship Hogmanay event, Ceilidh Na Blìadhn’ Ùire.
