Adrianne Chapman

Cape Breton

After a successful five-year run with her Celtic/Folk duo, including two albums and numerous awards, Adrianne is excited to return to the music scene as a solo singer-songwriter. She released her debut single, “See You Through”, in 2021 and is working on recording her first solo album. In 2014, Adrianne was a recipient of the “Big Sampie” award for up-and-coming Cape Breton Celtic artists, sponsored by the Festival Volunteer Drive’ers Association and Lakewind Sound Studios. This led to the recording of her former duo’s debut album, Where the Heart Lies, produced by Fred Lavery, and released to positive critical acclaim in 2015 at the Celtic Colours Festival Club. The album was described by Dan MacDonald in the Cape Breton Post as containing “powerful songs that require a strong performance and they get full measure from Adrianne’s vocals.” Currently a resident of Musquodoboit Harbour, NS, Adrianne teaches piano and voice privately, has Music Direction and musical theatre acting experience, and is a regular performer at the Celtic Colours International Festival, Acoustic Roots Festival, and local events. Her diverse vocal skills and sincere emotion, which captivates audiences, leaving them wanting more, has allowed her to share stages across Nova Scotia with many accomplished artists.
