Inspiration comes from the past and their surroundings, feeding music that’s rooted in tradition, whilst stretching its possibilities through improvisation and imagination. Together, they have been described by critics as displaying enthralling prowess and attunement and have released five albums. The duo has performed across the world at venues and festivals including the Royal Albert Hall, Cambridge Folk Festival, Australia’s National Celtic Festival, Celtic Connections, and Festival Interceltique de Lorient. In addition to playing as a duo, Charlie and Joseph will also be performing with their group Westward the Light during their Celtic Colours debut this year.
