Duane Nardocchio is a singer, songwriter, and performer who has been playing shows around Cape Breton Island for the past decade. Representing the region of Cape Breton Island, Duane is also the Executive Director for the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative, also known as CBMIC. Over the past 15 years as a Not-for Profit organization, CBMIC has been working diligently to support the Cape Breton music industry. While only in his sixth year with CBMIC, Duane has been involved with the music business on one level or another for the past thirty years. Whether through freelance tech work, promotional work with artists, managing a music venue, event planning, or writing and performing music, Duane has become well-recognized around the Nova Scotia music scene. He is known for his dedication, vision, and unending drive to support and grow all things music, especially when it comes to the success of others. In his Celtic Colours debut this year, Duane will be performing with his sister, Angela MacDonald, in a tribute to their aunt, Rita MacNeil.
