Situated along the North Atlantic coastline is Cape Breton’s Miners Museum, a tribute to the miners and their families. Phone ahead to book your tour between 10:30am-4:00pm. Visitors learn the history of mining and the evolution of coal through an immersive exhibit. Then, dressed in a cape and hard hat, tour the coal mine, an unforgettable experience. The guides share stories about their life as a miner, the industry and the culture. Each guide has had over 30 years experience working underground, so visitors are in knowledgable hands. Contact Mary Pat Mombourquette at marypat@minersmuseum.com or call 902-565-1942 to book your tour.
