Highland Tides is a short Heritage Walk highlighting the history of the first Scottish settlers in the Port Hood area. As you embark on this walk, a local presenter will speak about the origins of the numerous Gaelic-speaking families whose descendents still live in the area- their impact on the local culture and their contributions to Canadian society. A sampling of traditional foods will be provided as well. This event is limited to 20 people.
The walk will begin at the Little Judique Harbour* and will continue up the Lower Shore Road, then return by the same route.
*parking in the wharf area
