You are invited to visit one of the oldest Acadian parishes, Notre Dame de l’Assomption Church, built in 1786. This historical building was used as a chapel then became the first location for post secondary institution, Saint Frances Xavier University (St. FX). St. FX operated out of this church in Arichat for two years before moving to Antigonish, NS. You can expect a welcoming atmosphere, history to learn, and a beautiful church to explore. Two tours this day, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
