If you love lively tunes, dance, Gaelic song and a touch of musical genius, Celtic Cabaret in Membertou is where you should be tonight. Weaving together highland bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, bass, flute, bouzouki, step dance, and Gaelic and Scots song, Breabach delivers a sound that is nothing short of captivating. Troy MacGillivray and Andrea Beaton have been playing together forever, wowing audiences of dancers and listeners throughout North America, the U.K., and beyond. Although they continue to tour and play together, it has become a rare treat to see them performing together on Cape Breton. They will be joined by Troy’s sister, champion dancer Sabra MacGillivray. Since this is Troy’s only night at the Festival, we’re going to make the most of it by getting him together with Tim Edey for some tunes as well. Tim will also be taking a turn playing with Dwayne Côté in what is sure to be a meeting of musical masterminds. Cape Breton supergroup Còig completes the lineup. Don’t delay. Get your tickets today.
