Màili MacKenzie

Màili MacKenzie from Kensaleyre, Isle of Skye grew up surrounded by Gaelic music and culture from a young age and began playing the fiddle at the age of 7. She later attended the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton where she also studied piano and accordion. Recently, Màili has performed at concerts and festivals including Skye Live, Blas, and Celtic Colours. She has just completed her first year of university at Beinn Mhàbu and is back at Celtic Colours for her second time. She will be playing at the Festival this year as part of the Beinn Mhàbu Trio alongside piper Cameron MacNeil and piano player Iain MacQuarrie, and with her father, Angus MacKenzie.
