Jake Lauzon

Jake Lauzon began playing the guitar at the age of 7. Always drawn to folk, roots, and bluegrass music, Jake quickly gained a reputation as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Jake toured the American Bluegrass scene as a core member of the Virginia-based bluegrass band Nothin’ Fancy playing lead guitar and singing tenor vocals. He now has a busy tour schedule performing with J.P Cormier as a duo act. Summer 2026 comes the release of his first solo album, Live Another Day. On the album Jake is singing his original songs, playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass on different tracks, blending traditional playing styles of Canadiana and Americana in a unique style with pronounced delivery. The two-time Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards Guitarist of the Year (2018, 2019) makes his third appearance at Celtic Colours this year, performing in a duo with J.P. Cormier and on his own in the Guitar Summit.
