Iain MacQuarrie

Cape Breton

Iain MacQuarrie has music on both sides of his family. This young, up-and-coming dancer from Mabou, Cape Breton, will keep you smiling and clapping. Taught by his mother Cheryl (MacDonald) MacQuarrie, Iain has the old style of dancing, nice and close to the floor, and true to the Gaelic tradition. After living in the Middle East for eight years, Iain moved back to Mabou and embraced his roots. Iain began performing in local concerts, as a dancer, pianist and fiddler. In 2014, he performed in his first Celtic Colours with the dance group, Sgiobalta. This year will be his third time in the Festival.
