With 15 albums to his credit—spanning folk, jazz, and his beloved holiday recordings—his latest release, A Gentle Homage to Gordon Meredith Lightfoot Jr, pays tribute to one of Canada’s most iconic songwriters. He was also recently honoured with an honorary doctorate from Cape Breton University in recognition of his contributions to arts and culture. He looks forward to this special event to celebrate Tarbot at Celtic Colours, a full-circle moment, having first performed there as a young artist in 1979.
