Aaron MacDonald

Aaron MacDonald writes songs you can feel under your skin, stories pulled from long roads, hard lessons, and the bright chaos of family life. A Cape Breton singer-songwriter, his sound blends dusty rock, folky grit, and country soul into something unmistakably East Coast. A veteran of the stage, the Mabou native has earned multiple Music Nova Scotia and East Coast Music Association award nominations and topped the charts with singles like “What’s the Point” and “Beaches and Bands.” He was named one of CBC Music Searchlight’s Top 100 Emerging Artists and has performed at major festivals all over the province including Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Halifax Urban Folk Festival, KitchenFest!, Blueberry Jam, Acoustic Roots Festival, and Granville Green. Aaron MacDonald’s shows are raw, melodic, and honest… rooted in real life, real places, and the kind of truth you can’t fake. There’s a taste of small town living in every song and we are looking forward to Aaron’s Celtic Colours debut this year.
